4. Machine Head “Unto the Locust”

3. Trivium “In Waves”

2. Black Tide “Post Mortem”

1. Times of Grace “The Hymn of a Broken Man”

Mohammad Bayu Edigani Putra

1. Metallica “…And Justice for All” (1988)

3. Rufio “Perhaps, I Suppose…” (2001)

4. Red Hot Chili Peppers “By The Way” (2002)

5. Edane “Time To Rock” (2005)

Gokil!
6. Bullet For My Valentine “The Poison” (2005)

7. Megadeth “Rust In Peace” (1990)

Powerfull!!! Te. O. Pe. Be. Ge. Te.
8. Funeral For A Friend “Hours” (2005)

9. Blink 182 “Enema of The State” (1999)

10. Killswitch Engage “As Daylight Dies” (2006)

I will explain to you about one of my favorite (metalcore) band, and that is Killswitch Engage!

From left to right: Justin Foley, Adam Dutkiewicz, Howard Jones, Joel Stroetzel, Mike D’Antonio
Killswitch Engage is an American metalcore band from Westfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1999
The name of this band was inspired by one of the episode in X-Files. Many of their songs fill the soundtrack in many films such as “When Darkness Falls” in Freddy VS Jason and “The End of The Heartache” in Resident Evil Apocalypse.
I think the leader in this band is the lead guitarist, Adam Dutkiewicz. He is the most skillful member in this band. He can play guitar, bass and also drums. Because he graduated from Berklee collage of music with bass and drums majors but now he plays guitar for this band.

Adam Dutkiewicz with his madness on the stage!
The Album
Until now, Killswitch Engage have released five studio albums. They are:
Killswitch Engage (2000)

Killswitch Engage is the debut album by Killswitch Engage. I’ve heard a few songs from this album and my opinion is this album has not yet established a strong character for this band.
Recommended tracks: In The Unblind
Alive or Just Breathing (2002)

This is the final album with vocalist Jesse Leach. Bye-bye Jesse Leach!
Recommended tracks: Life to Lifeless, My Last Serenade & The Element of One
The End of Heartache (2004)

Ouch! The picture of this album cover is very describing the state of my heart hahaha!
Well, back to the topic. This album is first to feature vocalist Howard Jones, replacing Jesse Leach. Adam Dutkiewicz moved his position from drums into guitar.
Recommended tracks: A Bid Farewell, Take This Oath, Rose of Sharyn & The End of Heartache
As Daylight Dies (2006)

Speechless! This album really illustrates the characteristic of this band. Sorrow lyrics, anger emotions and implicit message from the heart fulfill the songs on this album.
Recommended tracks: almost all the songs in this album!
Killswitch Engage (2009)

Very Skillful! All of the members in this this band is show off their skill in this album. The more complicated guitar, double pedal more powerful and vocals are getting better.
Recommended tracks: Starting Over, A Light in a Darkened World, Take Me Away, Save Me & This Is Goodbye
Personally my favorite album is As Daylight Dies (sound of the guitar is very catchy, the scream sound is very awesome and sorrow lyrics)

Keep headbanging guys!
